Jackson was sick Sunday so Kenny stayed home with the boys while I went to Church. When I got back Landon was starting to get sick also. My poor Jack was so miserable all day, but come Monday morning he seemed to be doing so much better. Still had a cough and runny nose but definately wasn't as out of it. But then Landon seemed to be right behind him. Of course, being Landon everything is multiplied by 2. So he seemed twice as sick. Tuesday his cough was sounding pretty rough and I was almost positive I could here some wheezing in there. Wednesday, all he wanted was to sleep all day, he was completely lethargic, had me a bit worried I must say. He hardly cried, hardly ate, just layed there. I tried Wednesday to get him into the doctor after our ultrasound since it's in the same building but they were double booked and couldn't fit him in at all. So I had my doctors appointment today at 9:15, and Landon's doctor could see him at 10:15. Left my house a little after 9:00 this morning, both kids in tow. Nothing eventful at my appointment, heartbeat, blood pressure, pee in a cup. The Doc did change my date though to the 27th instead of the 23rd. I guess four days won't kill me. I think in the hour and five minutes t

hat I was there I saw the doctor for 3 of those minutes.
So we make our way down to Landon's appointment at 10:20, meanwhile he is in the stroller almost completely out of it. Long story made very short, Two hours later we walk out the door with three prescriptions, and a nebulizer order. So I guess we are joining all the RSV'ers. Never had to deal with this in our house until now, so I guess we can be considered lucky. He had one albuterol breathing treatment at the doctor's office and surprisingly he just sat there for the first bit, then of course he got sick of the mask on his face and was attempting to rip it off. Jackson thought it was all very cool, and was waiting for his turn. Since we've been home Landon is actually starting act more alive. Ate some lunch and played for a bit. Which I am very happy about. It is so scary to have your kids sick like that! All in all I am so glad I followed my motherly instincts and took him in instead of shrugging it off as a common cold. If any RSV experts have advice I am willing to take it.

Hey Maegs! I am so with you on this. My kids have been sick off and on for a long time now. Dylan is finally getting better for now but Trey is at his peek. I use a nebulizer on both of them as well. I also rub baby vicks on Trey's chest, back and feet. Then I put his jammies on. He slept a lot better last night after I did this. He also sleeps with a humidifier all night. Any way... if you have any more advice or thins that work for you let me know.
I'm so sorry, I hate sick kids! Halli had to do the nebulizer thing when she was two months old. She did really well and I think only did it for a week. Good luck with everything. I wish him a SPEEDY recovery!
Holy cow Maegs that is so scary. I bet you are so warn out. Sick kids is so troublesome. And the worst part is there is only so much you can do. Good job though, I am glad you caught it before it got too bad. Keep us updated though. Love ya.
I'm so glad that you took him in too. RSV is something that I'm so nervous about. It is so scary when they are lethargic, it's not right. I am glad that he is responding well though. Hugs to all of you - it's hard on the fam when kids are sick.
I hope Landon gets better very soon. We are excited to hang out tomorrow night for the game if all goes well and landon is back to feeling well!
A mother's insinct is defintely a blessing sometimes. God bless our little Lando. I know how heart wrenching (and sleep deprived) you can get when your baby is sick. All you want to do is take the pain away. I will keep all of you in prayers/
Hugs & Kisses

I am always so worried whenever Abby gets sick. I hope that I have the motherly instinct you did to take him in though. I always take her in and then feel retarded when he tells me she has a cold. So now I think I wait longer to take her thinking that it is just a cold. Hope all goes well and your family all feels better. Oh, congrats on the little boy. I had a hunch but didn't vote. You just have such cute boys I couldn't think you would have anything but another one. Love ya
How is Landon doing? Please let us know when you have time.
Love,
Brenda
I hope by now he is feeling better. It is so hard when kids are sick and it seems like it's a never ending thing. Hang in there.
I love your new blog. It is so festive. I am boring and haven't changed mine since day one. I don't know that I would remember how.
I use to work on Pediatrics at the hospital, and we got TONS of RSVers during the winter months. The hardest thing is that there's not a ton you can do for them. When they were hospitalized it was mainly cause they needed oxygen and IV fluids. I would just recommend pushing fluids and letting him eat whatever he wants. Sounds like the breathing treatments are working pretty good. A humidifier during naps and nighttime would also probably help (I'm sure you're already doing that). Good luck! It's so hard to have sick kids.
This is our 4th year with RSV. Sorry to hear you guys joined the club. If you need help with anything let me know. It is very scary!
