A day in SLC
The Frontrunner is so much nicer than driving.
Aren't peacocks always wondering around at parks and zoo's? Everytime Jackson saw one appear, he would run to the stroller or hide behind mylegs. Landon on the other hand wanted to chase them down.

Flamingos. One of my favorites.
Another fun day for the books! But I tell, once we pushed those boys back up the six blocks to the TRAX stop, we were tired! I had all three on my sit and stand, and Marianne had her 11 month old in her baby bjorn and 4 year old in the stroller. Monday, September 15, 2008
A busy weekend
+copy.jpg)
and pretending to be indians.

Austin was in love with the cat and dog,

While mine loved the tractors!

Bryson watched.
And then we had fun just taking pictures. Grandma's house is perfect! So many great places, I could have taken pictures all day, except my battery died :(
My cute nephew Austin.
Jackson kept busy in these tires for quite a while. I am so glad my boys get to grow up knowing and loving my Grandma!
Saturday we played at Grandma and Grandpa Hansen's. Jackson got to bail hay with Grandpa which put him in complete heaven! The plan was to do a bunch of freezer corn. But I can't say I did that much, I fell asleep on the couch with Bryson, (that nap was much needed , by the way) and my dad husked all the corn and my mom started cutting it off. I did help finish and I got about 34 bags. Yeah for corn! We were going to do peaches, but when I stopped in Brigham on the way, they weren't quite ripe and they are way expensive this year.
Thanks, Grandma Great, mom and dad, and Kristina, Austin and Savanna, we had so much fun! Oh, and to top the weekend off, we went to Charlie's! Yum!Saturday, September 6, 2008
Completely Disgusted!
Jackson and Landon playing outside in the front yard. Me trying to do some weeding. I glance up and see that Jack has something hanging out of his mouth.
"What do you have in your mouth Jack?"
"A paper thing you put in your mouth." As he throws it in the lawn and walks off to play.
I, being curious, went over to where he was standing and looked in the grass. Ewwww, Ewww, Ewww! A Cigarette Butt!

"Jackson is this what you had in your mouth!?" (I think I sounded angry because he immediately began trying to explain himself.)
"But, but some people put them in their mouths and it has smoke."
"Jackson this is gross garbage you don't put it in your mouth."
"Why do people put it in then?"
"Because they choose to smoke and hurt their bodies, but I don't want you to hurt your body, it's very yucky and not good for you."
Did I seriously just have to explain to my three year old why he shouldn't put cigarette butts in his mouth? I was completely disgusted! I wasn't angry at him, he really didn't know any better, but rather at the shmuck who threw it there. I am all for being able to choose for yourself, but seriously if you are going to smoke and turn your lungs to charcoal, have the decentsy to not throw your disgusting butts on my lawn and sidewalk where my children can pick them up and nauseatingly mimic your gross habit. I hate the fact that he even notices that people smoke, but that he actually thought it as something he could do, is not okay. I am still dumbfounded that he made the connection of the butt on the ground as the same thing that people have hanging out of their mouths. Kids seriously notice everything! Can't I just lock them up in the house and keep them safe?

SUCCESS!
He was very excited to wear his Transformer backpack.

Then he insisted that Landon where is backpack too. I think he thought Landon was going with him, and I had to explain that Landon is not old enough for school cause you have to be three. To which he responded, "Oh."
Walking into Preschool. I still wonder if he thought Landon was staying with him, since we all walked him in.
Hangin up the backpack.
Sitting down at the table to color his name tag."Sing it for me then" I said.
"I can't, you sing it"
"I don't know what song it was Jack".
"Miss Eve taught it to me,"
"But Miss Eve didn't teach it to me."
"Well, turn around and go back and she will teach it to you."
Oh what a silly boy. When we got home I found a paper sent home of what they did that day and it said they sang Down by the Station. Luckily, I did know that song, so we sang it. Can't you just imagine me going back and knocking on the door and asking her to teach me the train song.
So I would say it was a successful first day of school!

Labor Day
We went up to Tony Grove camping for Labor Day, it was so much fun! The boys had a blast as usual. We did get a little rained out and had to cut it a little short, but not much.

Riding Horses
Jack and Grandma

Jack and Austin

Landon and Grandpa on the "Sissy"

Hanging with dad

Bryson even had his first little "ride", but it's on my dad's camera. Labor Day is usually our last camping trip of the summer and it's sad to see it end. More excitement tomorrow though, Jackson's first day of Preschool!
