What's worse?

So I posted about Jackson peeing on the carpet and how not fun it is, well I found something worse. Peeing on my friends carpet. Yep, at playgroup he just stood there and peed on her floor. She has a three year old that just went through potty training so I guess she somewhat understands, but seriously, how embarrassing! And to top it off, he then took off his pants and ran into the other room with wet unders.

Can you smell that?

If I have to clean up throw up or pee out of beds, carpets, couches, and clothes one more time, I don't think I am going to make it! Jackson is pretty much potty trained, but randomly the last couple of days, he will just stand there and pee on the carpet. Tell me it will end!

Witches, and Pumpkins, and Shopping Oh My!

This last weekend I went with my Grandma and Mom shopping and to stay at my Grandma's timeshare at Snowbird. We went to Gardner Village. Not sure how many of you have been there but it is really fun at this time of year. They have all these witches everywhere doing all this fun stuff. When we were trying to find a pl;ace to park, Jackson must have seen a witch somewhere cause when we went to get out of the car he was terrified and wanted to stay in the car. He is my little scaredy cat. One time we went to eat at a restaurant called Rooster's, he was screaming bloody murder just trying to walk in there, it's a normal restaurant and everything but the name Rooster's must have freaked him out. So anyway, I finally talked him into getting out of the car and told him if he got scared he could just close his eyes. By the time we left Gardner Village he could care less about the witches everywhere. In this picture I told him to stand in front and scream like he was scared. As you can tell, it wasn't that scary.

This is a witch flying through the air. She is headed toward the roof of a building that is set up like an airport.
This is the airport director.
They have wagons and barns and stuff set up for cute picture taking so we did just that!

My friend that used to live down the street moved to South Jordan :( Her and her two kids met us there. Thanks for a fun day!
Landon's new thing is pointing. A lot of the pictures I take of him now he is pointing at me or something. It is so funny.
I guess all that shopping wore out my little bubba. He started to get a fever yesterday and has thrown up three times. Poor baby. I should start a poll on how many times I will wash the sheets in the next couple days. I hope he gets over it soon and that Jackson dodges it.

Happy Fall Y'all!

First, thank you everyone for your nice compliments on the video, it is really nice to have. Hopefully my kids will appreciate them when they are older. Actually, I think Jackson already does cause he wants to watch "baby Jack Jack" at least once a month! Anyway, for those wondering, I use Adobe Premier Elements. It's a complimentary program to Adobe Photoshop Elements.
So I think it is a official, I love FALL! I always convince myself that I don't have a favorite season and that they are all created equal. But I think Fall is the frontrunner. Here are some reasons why I love fall:

The changing leaves
The crispness in the air
Halloween (thanks a lot mom)
Being able to go outside and take my kids for a walk and not roasting in the mid-day
Cheaper bills (no heat, no air, no watering the lawn)
Halloween
The light cool breeze (as I type this my window is open and I can hear my cornstalks rustling)
The shopping. Stores always have such fun sales in the fall, gearing up for the holidays I guess. And we are "crazy day after Thanksgiving shoppers"
The food. Soups, treats, breads. All that yummy comfort food.
Craftshows
Halloween

On our drive up to Idaho last weekend I tried to take some pictures of the changing leaves, Cause it was just so pretty. They are not the best, but we were in a moving car. And I thought I would post some pics of the house all dressed for fall.

I really do love it here in Clearfield, I have made some really great friends, and my wonderful Husband works so hard so we can live in a beautiful house which I love! After living in apartments it is so nice to have a place that I can personlize and make our home.

My Baby Boy

My baby turned one a couple weeks ago. I put together a video of his first year. I thought I would share it. It is about 12 minutes. At the bottom of my blog page is the esnips where you can stop that music before watching this one.

Happy Birthday Landon!

So I posted that video before I was ready. But anyway here is the rest of my post.

I thought I would give my baby boy the spotlight, so this post is for him.

Landon Wyatt Stark was born Sept. 25, 2006. He weighed 7 lbs. 3 oz. and was 20 in. It was so surreal to add a another baby boy to our family. As some of you know, at Landon's 6 month appointment he weighed in at 10 lbs. 10 oz. Not only was he not gaining weight but he had lost a pound since his 4 month appointment. The doctor had some blood work done to see if we could find out why he was not gaining weight. The results were definately not what we wanted to hear. His platelets were low, his red blood cell count was low, basically he wasn't getting the food he needed and his body was feeding off of itself. Imagine the feeling of finding out your little one is malnutritioned. The questions came..."How much does he eat? How often does he eat? Does he seem hungry all the time?, etc." Of course he seemed completely normal to me. We knew he was small but never would have thought anything was really wrong. He seemed to eat, not as well as Jackson, but every child is different right? Might be too much information, but he was only having one bowel movement a week, which can be normal for some babies, and a sign something is wrong for others. Taking that into consideration his doctor thought he may have something called Hirschsprung's Disease. http://digestive.niddk.nih.gov/ddiseases/pubs/hirschsprungs_ez/index.htm

So of course I come home and research what I can online. He seems to fit all the criteria, but of course we don't know anything for sure. The doctor schedules him to have a test at Primary Children's to find out if this is indeed what he has. I am trying to remember everything, I really wish I would have wrote some of this down. So, I am thinking, well if he does have this, we will know what is wrong and we can fix it. On second hand if he does have this he will have to have surgery. So, Kenny, Landon and I are off to Primary Children's. Let me just say, he was such a trooper through all of this the past two weeks. All the blood tests, all the poking and prodding. After this test we head home to wait and hear from the doctor. Somehow excited that all this unknown is about to come to an end. But no, the test is inconclusive. He may have it, he may not. So we are back at square one. So we are told to just keep pumping him full of food and watch his bowel movements. We took him for weight checks every two weeks. Over time he starting gaining weight. We were so happy with all his progress, but were still wondering what could have caused him to drop so low.

And now at one year he is 18 lbs. 3 oz. and finally on the growth chart at 3%! To this day, we don't know why he suddenly stopped growing and not getting the nutrion he needed, but I do know that I love my sweet baby sooo much and I am so glad he chose to be a part of our family. I Love You Lando! Here are some pictures from his 1st Birthday Party.

The Cake

He loved his cake! He kept grabbing the dots. He was very upset when I took it away. I think he would have eaten the whole thing, if I would have let him.

Birthday Prince

The life size Elmo chair was a little frightening at first. I set him in it and he turned around and dove right out of it.

The Weekend

We are going up to Idaho Falls tomorrow until Sunday, so I most likely won't be posting anything, but I fully plan on posting some pics when I get back. I have a lot of catching up to do. Hope everyone has a good conference weekend.
